Jjajangmyeon
(Korean black bean paste noodle)
韩式炸酱面

Ingredients (2 servings)

Noodles :
- 2 portions of Ramen/Meepok/Ban Mian
- * Ramen/Ban Mian - 50s cook time, Meepok - 30s cook time

Sauce :
- 2 ½ tbsp korean black bean paste
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- ½ tsp sugar
- 120ml chicken stock
- ½ tbsp cornstarch (dissolve in chicken stock)
- ½ tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

Protein :
- 100g minced chicken
- 100g squid, sliced
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- Dash of pepper

Vegetables :
- ½ large yellow onion, diced
- ½ small cucumber, julienned
Cooking Step

In a pot of boiling water (~1L), cook noodles of choice based on given duration. Drain and set aside.

Marinate chicken and squid in sesame oil, soya sauce, grated ginger and pepper.

In a heated saucepan, add cooking oil.

Add diced onions and saute until slightly softened.

Add marinated chicken, squid, korean black bean paste and sugar and cook thoroughly. Ensuring marinated meats and onions are evenly coated in black bean paste.

Add chicken stock (with cornstarch) and mix well.

Portion noodles onto serving bowls/plates. Pour sauce over noodles.

Garnish with julienne cucumber and serve immediately
